Descend Together collects information needed to operate the community website, including account registration details, email opt-in preferences, launch update signups, user-submitted photo details, and basic site activity used for security and administration.

Information we collect

We may collect your name, email address, account status, email preference, community photo information, uploaded photo metadata you provide, login timestamps, and limited technical information such as hashed IP address and browser user agent for security and abuse prevention.

How information is used

Information is used to operate member accounts, display approved community photos, manage upcoming dive/event participation features, send requested email updates, improve the website, and protect the site from misuse.

Email updates

You can opt in to receive Descend Together updates. Email campaigns may track basic delivery, opens, clicks, and yes/no responses when those features are used. You can unsubscribe from marketing updates when an unsubscribe link is provided.

Community photos

Photos submitted by registered users are reviewed before public display. Approved photos may show the display name, location, camera, and narrative provided with the upload.
